Re: archvortex is back
Despite the dazzling wit on display in this thread, I still have a serious problem about you using the name Chink for Chinese people. I can see you won't be moved on the subject and in a similar way I refuse to spend time with people who use, or legitimize hate speech. So Toodle-oo Grillers. Here's ...

Re: archvortex is back
Didn't mean to cause a stink. I really like linuxbbq, it's the most computer fun I've had... ever. But I needed to address something I objected to :)

Re: archvortex is back
It's my 9th year living in Taiwan (the disputed PRC) as an Englishman abroad and yes while living as a racial minority yourself does give you a certain advantage on the subject, it doesn't make you an authority. If I'm treated with discrimination I never see it a justification to use it myself, inst...

Re: OPENBOX: BORK! Release Notes
Really enjoying this release, thanks so much! I've been using it to make a customized desktop for my dad, he loves surfing the net and listening to music. Kept it all minimal with a few goodies that will be useful to him :)

Re: archvortex is back
Gawd, I have to be the dick in the room and say I'm a little upset by the word 'Chink'. My wife is ethnic Chinese (racially she's native Taiwanese and old-school Chinese mix). In England Chink is on par with Paki, Wog and Nigger. It's a word used to cause offence, it can be used 'innocently' by peop...

Re: Hi I'm new to the BBQ !
Erm I got banned from linuxbbq on freenode. I wasn't being an ass I promise. I was logging in from several different distros on the same computer and auto logging from i3 ... not sure if this was the problem. Anyway can I come back ? I promise to change the behaviours that left me out in the cold :...

I used sudo mkmnt and it works like a charm; guides you through setup and automatically mounts on startup. Lovely

Hi I'm new to the BBQ !
Hello all.
Not sure how I discovered you guys, but it's fascinating ! I've been using Linux on easy-mode for a few years and recently have wanted to get a little dirtier! Having installed LinuxBBQ Academy and Lacipecsenye I'm now cultivating a tiny, immature beard. We both thank you deeply.
