Re: [THE 1st TIME] Disk partitioning pt. 1

Or take the lazy way out like me and just write them on a piece of paper (in pencil so you can erase and change as necessary.)
I'm now picturing a chalkboard with your partition layout and labels :D

Welcome, grilledfish!

Does the username imply anything? Some grilled salmon sounds like a perfect summertime meal :)
Hmmm, unless it's some play on http://fishshell.com/ and the bbq!

Re: Distortion Pedal (Metal Corner)

Not sure if Dokken has been mentioned before, but Kiss of Death is quite enjoyable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAi2R9NxMnU Depends how well Megadeth is taken here (probably my favorite band), but they recently released a new album, so here's one of the songs, "The Emperor": https://ww...

Re: HOWTO: Quick Git Guide

I recently came across yet another post on git aliases (and actually decided to put them in my .gitconfig this time). Here's what I snagged from the site, GitHowTo : (Add to your .gitconfig) [alias] co = checkout ci = commit st = status br = branch hist = log --pretty=format:\"%h %ad | %s%d [%a...

Re: HOWTO: Quick Git Guide

Git lets you GPG sign your commits. Not a bad thing, so this is what's needed: Just wanted to link to the official Git documentation as well (I enjoy using GitHub, but want to make others aware of other sources). As long as you have your GPG key already set up, add this line to your ~/.gitconfig or...

Spectre

An enjoyable watch, depending on your preferences for James Bond movies, of course. :)

Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)

Next up is yet another attempt at reading The Silmarillion. I seem to find other books to read before I can get any farther in it, meaning that I've been stuck on the first ~80 pages for years :P Same here, I've started it twice. Damn thing is like trying to read the Bible. :) Couldn't have said it...

Re: 4/5/6/7/12 string thread

Hmm, well, I have been the proud owner of a Yamaha EG 112C for around 12-15 years, although I didn't even know that was the model it was until looking at it just now. I guess that can give you a hint as to how much attention I've given it all of these years :/ It has followed me everywhere, mostly b...

A bit late to this thread, but tried to stay off the computer while visiting family and enjoying the nice weather the past few days :)

As to the headbanging, I wasn't a teenager in the 80s, but I like the music from then \m/

Re: i3

Here's one of my usual i3 workspaces with termite+tmux. Vimperator is usually on workspace 2, and other things after that. I guess I need to get better at using i3 for the tiling, but this setup has been working for me overall for a year or so... http://s20.postimg.org/4kpqx1byh/screen_Fetch_2016_03...
