Definitely.
Sometimes setxkbmap in xinitrc is ignored and layout defaults to japanese.

Re: calendar in terminal (urxvt)

Code: Select all

ncal -h -3 | xmessage -file -
'-h' is necessary to avoid corrupted output but it disables highlighting the current day, making calendar useless.

anyway I can't figure out full syntax.

Re: calendar in terminal (urxvt)

I left xcal for later, there is separate thread about it.
'top' already added.

Re: calendar in terminal (urxvt)

$ term-hold cal

Re: calendar in terminal (urxvt)

trying to add

command "calendar" "x-terminal-emulator -e ncal -3"
command "procs" "x-terminal-emulator -e ps -ax"

to .cwmrc (swikee)

in case of ps hold is no option because I need access to terminal eg. to kill process.

calendar in terminal (urxvt)

$ x-terminal-emulator -e nano

it works fine but

$ x-terminal-emulator -e cal

doesn't.
Why is that?

Re: root and X session

Solved.

I found 'startx' in
/etc/profile.d/zz-live-config_xinit.sh
so I removed the file and added 'exec startx' to user's .bash_profile

root and X session [solved]

Er... how to disable X session autostart when logging as root?
(I run SWIKEE and BREAK but this is edition-independent question).

WICKED.
Distro I've been looking for.

I had to comment out options lines in blacklist.conf to get audio working.
Now, let me learn about this roasting thing.
