Re: iceWM
IceWM is my goto WM at this point. Familiar enough that I'm not spending all of my time simply learning how to use it. And very light on resources. and the theme if anyone is curious: aeteria : windowish (straight from the debian repos, icewm-themes) I have always had a thing for "terminal"...

Re: /dev/null/introduction.txt
^^ wow. Incredibly useful answer there. I eventually got the Rocks! to boot, although not cleanly. had several hiccups during boot. Actually had to hold the power button almost long enough to poweroff to get it into the desktop (found that out on accident). I haven't the slightest idea how or why th...

Re: /dev/null/introduction.txt
Oh and forgot this one: http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30 I looked everywhere for those release notes... I must be blind. lol 64bit explains why it didnt boot on that ancient INSPIRON|6000. Wrt to the boot: you might add the boot parameter "vga=ask" or "vga=317"...

Re: /dev/null/introduction.txt
@machinebacon hmmmmm, Rocks doesn't seem to want to boot for me. Hangs no matter what option I choose in the bootloader. Tried it on USB and CD on a fairly newish HP Pavilion and a super old Dell Inspiron. The very very top (like first row of pixels) goes all wonky when it hangs. Not sure what that ...

Hello. I'm Jesse. Just found LinuxBBQ a few days ago. Loving the community and philosophy. VIolator is my current favorite spin. I grew up using MSoft. (3.1,95,98,XP,VISTA,7) Played around on a Commodore Vic20, too. I have basically no programming skills. I use to GOTO loop on that Vic20. Made me fe...

Re: i3 (11-19-2016) VIolator still works
New to the BBQ. Tried BREAK!, Cream, Lunchtime, and VIolator. i3wm is defintiely my favorite tiling WM so far. This screen is on a Dell INSPIRONmini from around 2008-ish.
