Re: [THE 1st TIME] Changing window managers
The smxi script can identify and purge the xorg modules you don't need. It is required to have run X at least once (twice if you have switchable gfx cards, once with each card turned on).machinebacon wrote:You get more than you actually need, but this way we have definitely everything working.

Re: Meet the meat!
I think this program is in the spirit of this thread: http://www.dr.dk/tv/program/nak-aed/ It's called Nak og Æd, which is Danish for Kill and Eat. A hunter and a chef travels all over Scandinavia to kill an animal and eat it. If they don't get it, they cook a really nasty one, like a crow or a mole...

Absinthe: bbqinstaller has stolen Ctrl+I keybind
Hi. I have just switched from Bakewell to Absinthe, and I love it so far. I just have one embarrassingly small problem.. Whenever I press Ctrl+I to write in italics (which I do a lot) - no italics, but the bbqinstaller pops up. The keyboard shortcut is not listed in the Xfce4 settings editor, and I ...

Re: Berlin: Where to go, and what to see?
Thanks for the response. I will definitely have a look at the Jewish Museum. I live in Prenzlauer Berg, so I have explored most of that place. My favourite place so far is a Gin & Tonic bar near Oranienburger Tor :)

Berlin: Where to go, and what to see?
Long time, no post :) I moved to Berlin three months ago, where I am going to study till summer. Do any of you Germaniacs have any tips that are not in the Lonely Planet books (I have already seen the wall and all that..) More specifically, I'm interested in good places to get a drink, get some food...

^ The smxi script is an example. It will ask about adding Liquorix sources even if it is in .d/liquorix.list instead of sources.list. (One can always say no, though)

I'm surprised, Clementine has not been mentioned yet. A solid and feature-rich audio player imo. A bit heavy though: apt-cache depends clementine clementine Depends: libc6 Depends: libcdio13 Depends: libchromaprint0 Depends: libechonest2.1 Depends: libfftw3-double3 Depends: libgcc1 Depends: libgdk-p...

This is may be my favourite release so far (followed closely by Enough).
I only have one complaint: the xterm color scheme. In certain scenarios it is black on black and unreadable, htop for example..
