Crockpots are fantastic. Just throw some things in and leave it for a few hours.

Yep, I just couldn't say anything for sure (though I knew it would not be Gnome 3 and well, it's not).

New stuff happening right now. A bit chaotic but that's gonna just happen.

The forum is running really slow right now (there's like three threads on Reddit already) and there's a pastebin mirror of the announcement here: http://pastebin.com/QEXxdVik

Re: When a bad Friday turns out to be Wednesday.

Yeah, it was kind of weird when they showed up, then kind of funny. And thanks! The guy who barely bumped us was so worried! I should take pics of the Corolla. I didn't mention the interior when it came back from being stolen for a week or so. The ink marks have long since worn off but it was headed...

Re: When a bad Friday turns out to be Wednesday.

The new car looks nice ninjalulz! wow, thats mad. Glad no-one died. Seem to be an inverse reaction with car smashes, the more it's one's fault the more defensive and stuck up one gets. The only smash I've had - I drove away from. Our 2000 Corolla has been stolen and raced (and some weird mods so it'...

Re: blackbox

I liked trying alternate shells on Windows but the trouble I'd run into (with more than one) was some applications that drew their own decorations like Canopus/Grass Valley applications and things like the (ancient) Sonique music player could lock up the whole system. I think I might have tried bble...

Something caught my eye on a followup to bug #741342 (post #31)regarding the usbhid module not being found (which sounds like it could cause the scenario in #741464). Re: GNOME3.x

My scrot actually does fall into "Look at my bloat, my bloat is amazing". There's a crap-ton of cruftiness under the hood right now. It started as a quickie "temporary" Ubuntu install on metal since a friend was asking something I couldn't reproduce in a VM. To get non-jacked up ...

Re: GNOME3.x

Gnome 3 isn't actually that bad for what that box is (htpc hooked to the TV) but I mostly use Cinnamon as it integrates better visually (if still a bit clunky), with a fallback Blackbox install.

Edit- though I usually don't see the desktop itself much on that one.
