Re: Survey: How do you partition?
I'm not sure if you also want to know concepts like LUKS, LVM, Samba shares. All data such as movies, music, images, etc. are integrated via a server. I use a host server (with LUKS and LVM) for virtualization of guest systems, Samba and OpenVPN. Each VM for a media server (BitTorrent, good old donk...

Nepomuk is for indexing files, tags, comments, mails, ratings etc. (using Strigi).
You don't need Nepomuk. But it is one of the better features of KDE - if you use it regularly and consistently.

@chris That berryboot looks fantastic, but I wonder if it supports the development builds of openelec... Wished I didn't go out a few days a go and buy myself another sd card. Re: BBQ Democrat - Web Browser
I have actually tried all these browsers over the years and am always back to Firefox / Iceweasel. I would not say that other browsers "worse" are. There are some real gems with visionary approaches. However, most have no possibilities to move halfway obscured the internet. Some use Iceape...

I am using raspbian via berryboot on my server rasp, and xbmc on my entertainment rasp.
BerryBoot offers more flexibility - you can use your own custom rom with it, and it offers full crypto for your rasp.

Oh, my mistake. I have seen only fleetingly on the installer. Then the two errors have probably nothing to do with each other.machinebacon wrote:because we don't use the siduction-installer :)

#! is my favourite stable debian distribution.
So, one question: Why do you have not build this iso with systemd, lightdm etc. like the 32bit iso?
Cheery,
Chris

Re: keybd layout bug?
I have a keyboard layout bug in siduction no-x, too. 3 days ago, I have used my keyboard after a fresh install in a testing partition, and I don't know which keyboard layout I got. It was not the german quertz-latin-1-nodeadkeys. I noticed, that there was no "super-key" etc. which sucks ha...

I sync my configs and my data via rsync between my servers and desktops / laptops. In addition, I use a personal wiki (DokuWiki) to document important things that I otherwise would surely forget. To share calendars and smaller text and image files with my girlfriend and third parties, I use a small ...

Re: Flash player with a pentium III
I have Iceweasel, and have installed Chromium. A note: Chromium (by default) and Firefox / Iceweasel are using the same flash-plugin from Adobe (flashplugin-nonfree) - so no difference here is expected. Chrome (the Google build) uses flash-pepper. Probably you can install flash-pepper in Chromium, ...

Re: Flash player with a pentium III
I do not know a specific guide for it. But Google Chrome uses Flash Pepper , which is newer than the normal flash plugin for Linux. Maybe worth a try ... Or maybe you are looking for older flash versions, for example Flash 9. Or you try to get along with Gnash and use flash download tools for youtub...
