Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

Se c’è un aldilà sono fottuto. Vita e cinema di Claudio Caligari I don't know if this will ever be available outside the Italian borders, but since Italy let one of his greatest talents die without paying him due respect when he was alive, I hope this nice documentary will live forever. Claudio Cal...

Athens, Return to the Acropolis

Starting my journey with Theo Angelopoulos from here, an obvious choice due to my studies I guess.

Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)

^ Actually, I can't make it. I came to this through a recommendation I found in the introductory essay to Jack London's Martin Eden (probably the closest book to who I suppose I am), with the writer saying that this is the only book capable of capturing what London captures in his, but I don't know....

Respiro

A great Italian one I missed a while ago. Well, great may be a strong word, but it's still one of the finest I've seen from my country in a while.

Meanwhile, I have been trying the Wes Craven's I had left to watch. I don't think he will ever reach the likes of Tobe Hooper, John Carpenter or George Romero for me.

Speaking of anger: https://www.manueluberti.eu/emacs/2020/ ... switching/

Nah, CIDER is great, no anger at all. Just a couple of quirks a few Elisp lines can fix.

Happy birthday, Baconator

Probably a topic was already there, but this morning I am lazy. However, not lazy enough for some old fashioned cheers for our chief executive.

Re: Emacs tips and tricks

Emacs defaults are arcane and if I wasn't able to change everything in according to my preferences I'd already thrown it out of the window. Or frame. (Sorry, Emacs joke).

Re: Emacs tips and tricks

Sexy editing? Give it to me: https://github.com/mickeynp/ligature.el Actually, no. I can live without this. Recently I've been dropping so many external packages in my configuration. It's not about minimalism (minimalism and Emacs don't play well together). It's just a way to stay more focused on t...

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

Philosophy and EuroLeague have been taking me away from cinema, but I found The Turning moderately interesting. Not much in the horror genre this year for me, so far at least.

Re: musics, bitches

https://angie-mcmahon.bandcamp.com/album/piano-salt I've been following her closely since her LP (which I paid too much, but understandably since it came from Australia, so it's OK.). I caught her "live" (meaning: live streaming) twice already, and the piano-only gig she did is partly on this new EP...
