Re: /dev/null

Specifically for the tea-drinkers: how many cups of tea are too many?

(I feel like I asked this question already.)

Edit: yes, I did, and recently. I'm getting old.

Re: Italy

And the real beauty of it all here is that there is just one place in whole Vicenza willing to approach music like this, and it's only a 15-minute drive from home. :)

Re: Italy

^ Absolutely. Well, you needed to know their music a bit to really enjoy it, because they played in a little room where the sound wasn't really great. Singer's and bass player's voices where hard to catch, and I was right in front of the singer/guitar player so I can imagine the ones in the back onl...

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

^ True about the huge black thing in the wall, although I look at it as my favourite black hole where I can lose into whenever I need a break. (Only for cinema though, can't be bothered with regular television.)

Re: Italy

https://lleroy999.bandcamp.com/ Another great band discovered only recently. Dissipatio HC has been on heavy rotation for months. Saw them live last night. I was lucky enough to have earplugs, because they did quite tear down the whole place. I felt sorry for the guys in the audience who didn't kno...

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

I am still recovering from the absolute absurdity of That's My Boy . I am by no means an Adam Sandler fan, but this came highly recommended and well, dear me. Offensive and obnoxious in every possible way, I hardly laughed, but somehow in the middle of the madness I did find something to like. Littl...

978880621910GRA-184x300.jpg It has been coming up so frequently for an exam I am preparing I felt compelled to immerse myself into it. The level of violence took me a bit by surprise. Homer, you dirty bastard! It's a huge book, but I'm skipping the pages in Greek for now, so I only need half of it....

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

^ It's 3 hours and a half of Scorsese glory, with CGI on top of great old actors which may be unsettling (it was to me at first). Take your time, and if you can, enjoy it on a big screen.

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

Still processing the new Scorsese. It's a behemoth and he put so much in it, but I have yet to understand whether he is really saying something interesting and possibly new.
