Absolute Anything
Last Terry Jones', which I skipped when it came out because the reviews destroyed it. Fuck the reviews, though. It's by no means a great film, but it's fun if you go along with it. Sometimes, I don't need too much.

The Voyeurs
Erotic thriller as sleazy as it is silly? Yes, please, I'm in. Did it make me want to re-watch Sliver? Yes, it did.

Re: Emacs tips and tricks

I decided to stop depending on Rust tools: https://www.manueluberti.eu/emacs/2021/ ... -git-grep/

grep and git grep are enough.

Re: show us your iron

^ Adding more disk space and RAM pushes it above my budget, but definitely something to consider.

Re: Something to celebrate? Do it here!

^ Wow, impressive and celebration-worthy indeed. I don't plan to get that far (km-wise and Ivan-legs-wise), but still, after a day of sitting and typing, running in the middle of nowhere does wonders for the body and the mind.

Re: Something to celebrate? Do it here!

After some lazy months, I've been back at running since September 1st. Sure, I have to catch up, but it still feels good.

Re: show us your iron

Thanks to both you. The budget would be around 500/600€, I do not intend to spend more. I am considering buying spare parts and putting it together, although I didn't consider the fanless option.

Re: show us your iron

Asking here because of iron: if you had to get a new desktop computer what would you get? I don't care about displays and keyboards here, just curious about the hardware you'd go for. My constraints are a decent level of memory (damn you Java) and not too large a box (my desk is large but I got plen...

The Empty Man
Many hate it, some love it, I fall somewhere in the middle: it kept me there till the end but I didn't leave kissing my toenails in fervent joy.

One Second
Everything Cliff Walkers is not. One of the best films I've seen this year.

Re: Italy

^ I meant distant as in terms of the sounds I was used to as a 20 something. And when I was 20 something he was already too popular and too much within the Italian popular music scene for me. I didn't know his early recordings because I wrongly assumed they sounded just the same. So good to be deepl...

Re: Italy

Back to Napoli for a classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6wEBW2dgr4 Early Daniele's recordings sounds so typically Partenope I could not understand it as a youngster. Not only because of the dialect, but the music sounded so distant to me. Which is, of course, but only later I would discover t...

Cliff Walkers
Propaganda disguised as a historical thriller or the other way around? Well, it's still good (not great) cinema to me.
