Re: VPN and DNS Nonsense

^ They released a fix, version 2024.3 should address the problem. I am not on 24.04, though, so give it a try and report back please.

Re: musics, bitches

I love seemingly random musical connections: - Tommy Stinson (from The Replacements) mentions The Pet Sounds Sessions in an interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=curfuU6CNVc - I usually don't care for deluxe editions, and I treasure my Pet Sounds LP, so I have never bother to check out costly b...

I got the limited CD edition, and it has been on loop ever since it got here. Nice selection of underground sounds from the centre of this weird country.

Not much around lately, I know, but I have been very busy with a couple of exams.

However, they are about great stuff, and I could not resist write about it (which turns out to be a nice way to revise as well): https://manueluberti.eu/posts/2024-03-1 ... e-tension/

Re: Distros of interest

^ I think I won't upgrade to the new LTS this time. I've been on 22.04 since it was released and, by avoiding snaps altogether, I only had minor issues that I have eventually fixed. Still, I don't use my home laptop for anything that requires Ubuntu in particular. I pretty much end up with the same ...

An ex-Unsane in this should be enough to tickle your curiosity. And by "your" I mean Ivan's of course.

Freud: The Secret Passion
I love John Huston and I love Montgomery Clift. This is a lost gem, if you ask me, although I prefer by a large margin what they did the year before.

Re: EDC, gadgets and gear stuff

Yes, the idea is sending the audio from the TV to the amp. The S2+ has some filter settings, I'll see which one sounds better.

^ I have noticed that as well. I have also noticed uBlock breaking more and more websites for me, but that's fine, it's the WWW's fault anyway.

^^ Interesting website that proxycheck.io.

Re: EDC, gadgets and gear stuff

Due to a welfare thingy that has been going on for some years here, I had some extra credit to spend on Amazon, so I ordered a DAC to link the Samsung QLED to my Denon amplifier. I went with a Pro-Ject S2+ , mostly because I have never had anything to complain about them. To my humble ears the sound...

A Murder at the End of the World I started this much discussed and praised series last night. So far I am not that impressed, I would just call it good entertainment and that's it, but since it's just a small number of episodes I will stick around to check how it turns out.
