Re: Distros of interest
^ I think I won't upgrade to the new LTS this time. I've been on 22.04 since it was released and, by avoiding snaps altogether, I only had minor issues that I have eventually fixed. Still, I don't use my home laptop for anything that requires Ubuntu in particular. I pretty much end up with the same ...

Freud: The Secret Passion
I love John Huston and I love Montgomery Clift. This is a lost gem, if you ask me, although I prefer by a large margin what they did the year before.

Yes, the idea is sending the audio from the TV to the amp. The S2+ has some filter settings, I'll see which one sounds better.

^ I have noticed that as well. I have also noticed uBlock breaking more and more websites for me, but that's fine, it's the WWW's fault anyway.
^^ Interesting website that proxycheck.io.

Re: EDC, gadgets and gear stuff
Due to a welfare thingy that has been going on for some years here, I had some extra credit to spend on Amazon, so I ordered a DAC to link the Samsung QLED to my Denon amplifier. I went with a Pro-Ject S2+ , mostly because I have never had anything to complain about them. To my humble ears the sound...

^ Yep, Fassbender did work on this material. So far it's a crazy book, somewhere between Joyce and Kafka.

Re: TV series
A Murder at the End of the World I started this much discussed and praised series last night. So far I am not that impressed, I would just call it good entertainment and that's it, but since it's just a small number of episodes I will stick around to check how it turns out. OK, at the Emacs VS Vi r...

The International
This fell off my radar back in its time, but overall it's a good political thriller. I would not go nuts about it like some critics, but still, they kill Luca Barbareschi at a certain point, something I have always wanted to do.

I don't know why I waited so long to order the vinyl, but I just did: https://lleroy999.bandcamp.com/album/nodi I missed them live not too far from here a couple of weeks ago, but it's only partially my bad because the gig was really poorly advertised. Finally I saw them yesterday, what a great gig...
