Re: /dev/null

Great decision, beautiful write up as always, very to the point and I agree with everything you said. Just loved the Gramsci quote by the way. :)

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

"Living", an adaption of the Kurosawa film "Ikiru" with Bill Nighy playing the lead character. It was quite good and had some interesting points I think. It is about a bureaucrat that gets a cancer diagnosis and decides to live a little towards the end of his life.

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

We do not watch many films nowadays, it is hard to find those that really is worth the while. Anyway, we watched "Inside Out" yesterday, and it was worth the while in my opinion. Very cute, great concept, and a good film for the whole family. :)

Re: What are you actually running for daily/primary usage?

You remember my Chromebook? Honestly I am using it almost exclusively for work. It just works even though I am living the whole time in the Chrome browser. It scares me how simple it is. I have been thinking of asking you how you like your Chromebook. Interestingly well I suppose. But now I am scar...

Re: What are you actually running for daily/primary usage?

If it works well, why bother about it? So far 24.04 has been a very smooth ride for me.

So, a great choice in my opinion.

Re: TV series

Finally got around to watch "The Undoing", it was good, I liked it, but it is not a must see if you know what I mean. I mainly wanted to see it because of Hugh Grant actually. When he was young, he always played the nice young man character. Now he seems to have gone to the opposite side o...

Re: EDC, gadgets and gear stuff

Well well well, I did a quick search to see what the nearest dealer to me (500 meters ca) had. And there were actually quite a lot of different Jlab products on their website. Nice. I think I will start there, reasnobly priced too it seems. But what do I know about that? ;) Actually, they also have ...

Re: EDC, gadgets and gear stuff

Thanks, I too have been thinking about this lately and have more or less same wishes as GekkoP above. The big qustion though, is in ear or out ear? At home out is the most comfortable, but looks really weird when moving around outside. In ear is annoying and uncomfortable, so the challenge would be ...

Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)

Finished with first reading of the fourth book in the series of "On The Calculation Of Volume" by Solvej Balle. And I am still very fascinated by it. When the book starts it has passed five years, when it ends, nine years. During the time that passes the main protagonist and her fellow com...

Re: VPN and DNS Nonsense

Yes it works. The updated 2024.3 gui version starts normally. I have not noticed anything unusual.

This time around I updated the app via the added mullvad repository, and that also worked as it should. :)

Finished with "Dear Child", creepy and sinister stuff. Feels that they rushed it a bit at the end though. So we did not give it top score.

Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)

Have now read volume 3 "On Calculation Of Volume" by Solvej Balle two times. And I have volume 4 waiting to be read soon, hopefully during the next weekends. This series is still very fascinating, disturbing and mind-blowing for me. Hard to explain what it is, I kind of lac the words, or a...

Re: VPN and DNS Nonsense

The 24.04 Ubuntu release gives the Mullvad-gui start problems. Cli seems unaffected though as far as I know.

https://github.com/mullvad/mullvadvpn-app/issues/6128

Edit; Cli works as it should. Have been very lazy lately and gone too much gui. :|

Re: TV series

^Thank you!

And "Last Tango In Halifax" is a very good, warm and funny tv-serie from Britain. Incredibly good actors making this melodrama a real treat to watch. :)
