oh BTW just did a good strip down, blew the fluff out the fans and new thermal compound (coolermaster in case you were wondering) and it's back to how I expect.
Watching a youtube vid, updating a VM in oracle and my set of tabs open and it's barely above 50C :D Good advice chaps!

Yes I do need to clean out the fan and re-paste the cpu. the intakes are totally caked with, well, possibly cake. dust and junk. I mean ambiently it is getting hotter here too. wife has effectively vetoed The Expanse, by wandering off again, doing something else. I've no doubt the books would be better.

so i got conned/coerced into an amazon prime subscription and I thought I'd watch Picard. Which I thought was really good, enough of the new generation looking old, but not all of them, some nice performances, of course dominated by Sir Pat. Once that ended we watched 'Upload' which was pretty good....
