Re: Happy Birthday Dr_Chroot!
Holy smokes! Thanks, guys! It's been a long time...
I can't believe I only have one last year of being a teen left. I'm going to try to make the most of it... and try to not create too much trouble! ;)

Re: VARIOUS: Lunchtime (586) Release Notes
Hoho, glad to see this! Thanks for all the work you guys put in this - it's always so nice to have something to play with. Sorry I haven't interacted much recently... I'm shocked at how much time being 18 consumes... college, a job, trying to dodge angry ex-girlfriends and all that good stuff.

Re: NOX: Anorexia Alpha 2 (586)
Woo! I've been AWOL for way too long. (I'm doing college classes through the summer, as well as working, so I've barely gotten to spend any quality time with my ThinkPad.) Nice base, though, MB! Thanks :D

How fun to see the founder(s) of our fortunes :) You both look like you had a great time. One of these days I need to make it out to Hong Kong!

Re: Why HardMetal + cli == good for you.
^^ I have a love-hate relationship with Ubuntu's fully bloated systems in this regard. I think Unity can be pretty gorgeous, actually, but Ubuntu gets in my way too much. I've been humming for almost a month with just i3 in Jessie and sometimes a Win7 VM + Ubuntu 16.04 w/ FVWM. Nothing in my way - i...

Re: Dr_Chroot
Decided to give one of the Ubuntu 16.04 development builds a spin. As expected, lots of Unity bloat. Other than being able to move the dash to the bottom of the screen with Unity Tweak Tool, not much to rave about. It's SystemD, which takes a bit getting used to with Ubuntu, but it feels not much di...

@pidsley & wux :D I didn't even think about it. After Colorado legalized recreational pot all sorts of new words have been trickling into the vocabulary of surrounding states :) I didn't realize that it was a direct part of hippie/stoner culture, I actually assumed it was another SoCal-ism like ...

Re: Wilderness!
Neighbors and I are already planning our plans for this summer. This morning we discussed hiking up to Sourdough Glacier . It's still actively moving , and is presumably still calving off into Iceberg Lake (we don't have many calving glaciers in the continental 48 states, so this should be exciting!...

Re: good morning, good night
Wonderful Spring weather in Wyoming today. Doing some Spring cleaning, getting the lawn equipment ready for another season. Woke up early and walked down with coffee to watch some elk herds grazing in the field about 300 meters from our abode. We are seeing Moose, Deer, and Elk coming down into the ...

That is pretty dank, bones :D I must say, the more I play with it, the more I think OS X isn't an awful proprietary Unix. I would much rather be using it than Canonical's traitorous Ubuntu on top of Windows ;)

Hello, jankiel! Glad to have you at the BBQ :) I love to see people who have lurked and sampled some things from the menu participating. Everyone has something to contribute and something to learn. I learn so much just by going through old threads in /usr/share/man and /home/bbq/.config ! Also, your...

^^ Ah, I've dreamed of hitting the banana trail and hitting up Penang/Georgetown. My best friend's older brother said that it was 1000x more Bali-like than Bali. I woke up yesterday morning in Sarasota, Florida, going to sleep tonight in Columbia, Missouri. I had a meeting with a client of my Dad's ...
