Re: Rofi - window switcher, run dialog and dmenu replacement

It works ootb from the repos here. It only failed me when the default font is not in the system. I don't remember which one is it. Setting a new font solved the issue. I just have two keystrokes for it. One running: rofi -combi-modi window, run -show combi And the other doing a simpler dmenu-ish: rof...

Re: dkeg

Thanks so much, dkeg. Will try those. I ended up with some dark blue that happens to work great for readability, but overall it looks like it doesn't belong there.

Re: *SOLVED* Dkeger error and how to spectrwm scrot

If you want to see the result (also indicates success if needed) you can use something like this:

Code: Select all

scrot -s '%Y-%m-%d--%s_$wx$h_scrot.png' -e 'mv $f ~/Imagess/ & feh -x ~/images/$f'
Modify it and adapt it to your needs. As is it needs feh, but you can use any other viewer.

Re: Virtual grilling - Cook a BBQ into VirtualBox

Got this unattended since I've switched to QEMU. Anyway, if anyone interested, all new spins run good and smooth on QEMU (the adipositas and anorexia betas plus swikee tested) both live and installed. Also including the freshly released Lunchtime. Haven't checked violator. Sorry. But I bet it works ...

Re: Fonts in action

True love for inconsolata indeed.

^ Something's weird with that package. That fallback thing puts a DroidSans.ttf file outside fonts directory and into the fonts the old Droid types are missing. Old configs for this font into .Xresources don't work properly.

Re: Custom Boxes

WMs are all about personal taste, so better try and choose your poison. Personally I prefer Fluxbox over the other boxes. It's my WM to go. Excepting the pipemenus, which are trully nice, Fluxbox can do a lot more and its plain text configuration is much simpler than Openbox's xml. The learning curv...

@ wux: it's droid sans mono. You're right. ZZimgs currently works like crap. Haven't used it in a long while. Thanks for the tips.

@ franksinitra: +1 on Fira. Though another big one.

Re: Fonts in action

Source code pro is one of my usual fonts to go too, besides I feel my favorite "easiest to the eyes" is still droid (droid sans mono particularly. Drawback: that font family is fucking huge.

You can add the pidsley's search to the BBQ search functions into ~/.bashrc
