Re: zim - zsh improved
I'm personally a fan of the bloatet oh-my-zsh. Tried using zplug (https://github.com/b4b4r07/zplug) which is more modular and lean (reminds me of VimPlug, which is fantastic). Here's a good list of zsh frameworks and stuff https://github.com/unixorn/awesome-zsh-plugins To kick-start the big show off...

While I love these fonts, I'm not sure I can sacrifice that much real estate. See below.

Tool for setting tiled wallpapers & CDE scavenged tiles.
What Being a sucker for tiled wallpapers I ventured to the source of Common Desktop Environment to bring you these: http://u.teknik.io/N5RXYF.png I converted the (x)pm and (x)bm files from CDE's source with ImageMagick's convert to pngs. The source files and png output can be found here: http://u.t...

I can vouch for it (if it means anything) it's really amazing both inside vim and outside. I use it for searching my own history and for completing cd and files (just type ** and hit tab in a prompt to launch it)

Astroid (http://gaute.vetsj.com/pages/astroid.html) from the same developer is also very good. If anyone once to switch to offlineiamp + mutt, this is helpful...

Re: Palleter
Theres another interesting take on this task. If you sort the histogram outbut by the first column, you will get the most popular/representative color of the image. I'm thinking about the most universal way of extracting usable palletes. Something like: - Get histogram sorted by popularity - Grap an...

Re: Palleter
My bash is too weak, so I added some changes in python to suit my setup better. The changes are: - The brightest color is labeled as foreground - The darkest as background - The histogram from imagemagick is tweaked to produce more 'drastic' colors with the use of the -level parameter #!/usr/bin/env...
