Im testing out a client called jitsi.
xmpp for google does not work. but i am interested in the off the record and desktop sharing features.

What xmpp server does everyone here use?

There is a hangouts extension for firefox as well. IT seems easier to just log in to gmail or use a phone. dkeg: are you suggesting that it is possible to still do google instant messanging through pidgin? I might install this later.
