I'll share tonight. Had to pull it out of the ashes. Minor refinements.

Re: dkeg
thank you wux, ivan chef, windowchef is nice. some oddities, but easy to work with. Some of the keybindings that came with the default sxhkdrc were a bit wierd, but easily configurable. Its easy to set up, and get going. I think working with wmutils made it an easy transition. Its like a hybrid of w...

Re: Learning REAL Linux
I just write scripts to make shit look good. I rely on Pidsley and MB to keep me in check. The point is, need is a great motivator. For me, I need for things to be visually appealing, and write scripts to do it for me [mostly]. Look for little things you want automated, and write a script for it. So...

Serious? Thats hilarious. Is that mate or xfce? But yes, it looks very nice indeed. Plus, if true, no need for a panel anyway.ivanovnegro wrote:The panels just crashed and this was the result. :)

Re: *Solved* 2wm Make Install
Generally for special keybinds, like volume, music, etc., I'll use xkeybindrc, or sxhkd so to have consistency across wm's. Its tough to ensure you're not trying to snag an already spoken for keybind. I have my volume set for alt+minus/equal ## volume alt + {equal,minus,F8} ~/bin/volume {+,-,off} ke...

Re: 2WM
Moving this over from the other 2wm-solved thread. Makes more sense to live here. Still would need to logout and back in, but simple way to match borders to current color scheme. 1. Save as 2wmbcs (2wm border color switch) in $HOME/bin. Generally that is in your $PATH so able to be run simply by typ...

Re: *SOLVED* SPECTRWM- I can't see....
glad to see you got spectrwm all set up and working. Double check the bar font though. That looks to be the fallback font that is displayed when the .conf file has a bad font. So many wm's have certain aspects that hit that sweet spot for a few days (or hours), then another does just the same, but f...

I don't have anything. The only piece I have is in .bashrc for simpler pushes # usage: gitpush [ . |"files"] ["commit message"] [branchname] function gitpush() { args=("$@") git add ${args[0]} && git commit -m "${args[1]}" && git push -u origin...

Re: dkeg
Thanks pidsely. As is, it did not work. It replaced several delimiters and text throught the entire file. When I get extra time I may look at your solotion and adjust to ensure only replacing the border color definition line. The line looks like this: static const char *colors[] = {"#403836&quo...
