Re: musics, bitches

I... have no clue. Punjabi? That's the extent of my knowledge. I've had it on repeat for the last hour or so; it doesn't make the worst study music :D

Re: archvortex is back

I finally sat my busy butt down to read through the thread! I'm terribly sorry to hear about your accident, archvortex. You sound like you have a stout spirit about you, though - you should make it through fine ;) As for the colorful verbage abounding in the thread, I agree with what Rhow said... &q...

Happy New Year + 4 days :D Well, am I late or what!? It's been an eventful last few weeks, but I am looking forward to what 2016 has in hold. It's looking like it's going to be a good 'un :)

Re: Anime / Japanese series

^ I second kissanime - it has certainly replaced gogoanime or crunchyroll in my books. (For mangos, I have found mangapanda and mangafox to be the most consistent. The former will have the occasional double page or watermark but for the most part it is breddy gud.)

Slitaz is lovely! The IT dept at our local community college uses it as a live USB to recover files from borked student computers :)

Re: AFK/BRB Thread

^^ Yep! For ~$100/day you can cover dining (it is seriously limitless - as much as you want, most of it quite good), lodging, and entertainment (Las Vegas/Macau-ish shows in the evenings). We found it to be as good a way as any other to meet up with family, while each having our own space. ^ Thanks :D

Re: Anime / Japanese series

A friend (who was mortified I hadn't watched any mecha yet) introduced me to the Gundam universe... liking it so far. He started me on some Gundam Wing episodes; very different than what I have been watching lately but enjoyable nonetheless! I decided to personally start with Mobile Suit Gundam 0079...

Re: AFK/BRB Thread

I will pretty much be AFK Dec. 10 - 28. Spending the holidays with family, a 5-day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and hitting up friends. Should be both fun and stressful (inevitably politics and religion will come up in more than one heated conversation) :D

Re: Folkiness

@Dr: just listened to your friend's song. i think his playing is good, he definitely has an ear for nice melodic lines and making stuff work together. i think there is too little going on in the song currently to warrant it being over 4 minutes long, things get repeated too often, imo. i'd advise h...

^ Noice. Similar to Viking Metal :) I feel like I found gold... Insomnium's album Above the Weeping World . Amazing melodic death metal! (I'm not normally into the guttural death/metalcore vocals, but this made it palatable!) "The Gale (Intro)" and "Mortal Share" "At the Gat...

^^^ I'm genuinely impressed with Pete! I have finally found someone whose ignorance equals or surpasses my own. It's like the difference between buying presents for Christmas from HASBRO or K'NEX for your kids. The former if great if they are still drooling and soiling their nappies, the latter if y...
