Thanks for this, my knowledge is full of holes (insert dick joke here, maybe), so this will come in handy.

I don't have anything to show either (I used dzen for a while with OB, but the config is lost), but take a look at the dzen section on dotshare.it until someone comes along.

Re: tips and tricks for everything but emacs

Another one for vim; you can set multiple filetypes in one file, like so: :set filetype=html.css.php This is useful if you use that Snipmate plugin, because then all the snippets needed in that one file are available to you. Of course it's probably best if you have all that PHP, CSS, JavaScript and ...

Re: Why did Linux pick you? And why did Sid?

Hm, I started in 2010. What got me into it was the kind of cliché no viruses talk. There was always something that wasn't going right with Windows XP, so I made the jump to Ubuntu. Installing software from one place, no viruses, no slowdowns were a major selling point for me back then. It was super ...

8.5 down, 0.60 up, so same as Ivan's. Still, I can't watch an 1080p stream without it constantly stopping to buffer - glorious Serbian interntetz.

Re: Comic Books/Graphic Novels

Truth is, I haven't read that many, simply because most of these are super long. The short list is: Naruto Bleach Initial D Aku no Hana and some other shorter series that I've read a few years back, sadly I can't remember the titles. I'm sure you heard about Naruto already, and I think if you liked ...

Re: Anime / Japanese series

In hese last few days I watched two shorter series. The first one is iDDOLM@STER Xenoglossia. In short, it's a mecha anime... but the mechs are piloted by teenage girls. Hence, I'm a little confused about the target audience of this one. It gets weird at times (teenage girl falling in love with a bi...

Re: Comic Books/Graphic Novels

Well, I finished it. It turned out great in the end; I guess this is why it's not good to draw early conclusions. All in all it dealt with some serious topics (let's just say that's far from only being about bullying), and the last chapter was especially hard hitting... Recommended.

Re: Comic Books/Graphic Novels

I've been reading Flowers of Evil (Aku No Hana) . In short, it's about a middle schooler book nerd dude, who "accidentally" steals the gym clothes of one of his female class mates (who, coincidentally, he really likes). Another girl sees this and starts bullying the crap out of him in turn...

Re: Anime / Japanese series

@chef: I'd choose one from Slartie's list, or a Studio Ghibli movie. As a side note, if you decide to watch Dragon Ball, be sure to go with the original series before watching Dragon Ball Z. I'd also go with Japanese audio with subs over English dub, cause personally I think the dub for DB sucks ass.

Re: tips and tricks for everything but emacs

Snipmate is a pretty useful plugin for vim. Basically, enter an abbreviation, press tab and it will enter the corresponding piece of text for you, and will also place the cursor in the correct position. Small example: entering p, then pressing tab in a html file will give you <p>*cursor here*</p>, ...
