Re: wm breaking beyond its boundaries?
Yea, i tried just start X, or start openbox (knew it was somewhere on there still). Good to know I need to mount first for next time. Is that kinda like chrooting into my home from TTY? Imagine you set your keyboard on fire than it will be very difficult to use ALT whatever. :) I still kinda wanna s...

Re: neofetch LinuxBBQ
Thanks Bacon. I made a vague support submit to neofetch git help, but no ascii code was shared until i got your approval! They should help me fix colors with accurate hex code at some point. Next question here: How exactly does "Pretty-Name" pull spins by "name" in env-info? Rega...

wm breaking beyond its boundaries?
So, playing around, I broke my 2wm .config bad, w/o knowing, then make installed. On reboot, loaded into X fine, but nothing worked. 2wm terminal/new window shortcuts did nothing. Dmenu(who's shortcut was coded into 2wm config), did nothing. Alt+F1, etc did nothing. Quickly asking, can I bork up my ...

Re: neofetch LinuxBBQ
bbq20x40.png 20x40 (size right, colors incomplete.) dkeger/xcolor_resources will change neofetch and could be made correct, but unless you want Orange/Red/Yellow/B&W for all your terminal colors, need a better solution. Attatched: -ascii art in .txt format with c${#} additions for neofetch, (bu...

Re: Why BBQ?
WHYBBQ1.jpg (yea, paintbrush/fonts are garbage, but the MESSAGE is what matters, lol.) I want to apologize if I'm annoying anyone. I know I'm kinda spamming this forum lately(covid-bored). I got old comps/HDDs out of storage and want to pick up where I left off. I really like this place. It's weird...

I'm more into dub, but that deserves a separate topic. This is how I survived data entry working for my friend...(On repeat, daily) Major Lazer - Peace is the Mission EXTENDED. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZSsOEqgm0c&list=PLBW9qWw3FfUjOwEX7-jHox6odZ_GioSj4 That 2 disc album, or shuffling th...

Re: neofetch LinuxBBQ
That is probably because we use mostly env-info: Speaking of, I think you(and getting another copy of Adipositas) just figured colors out for me, lol. env-info color names come from where.png dkeger and .Xresources_colors I didn't notice it in neofetch because it just has the two color bars. Forgot...

Re: neofetch LinuxBBQ
Colors (edit: see below) When image is perfected, I could just let neofetch's creator plug my art into his own code better than my guesses... I'll gladly share finished code here, but wanted Bacon's approval on final art b4 pushing it to any 3rd party. It's not my "branding/logo", so want...

neofetch LinuxBBQ
So this is 6.5hrs of learning ASCII art by guessing, lol. Neofetch DAMNIT WHERE'S ORANGE.png I need help figuring out how to get Orange and LT Brown colors in the neofetch file. I also don't have any idea how to customize ' info "OS" distro ' to just say LinuxBBQ, vs pulling in the running...

Re: IBM/Lenovo ThinkPads
Hey gutterslob, if you can measure the size of the key, or the circular indent in the "windows" key, preferably down to #.## fractions of a mm as best as you can, I can GIMPshop an icon for you. Just pm me the best dimensions you can, and an image you'd like to use for it... You'll still h...

Re: Fn+ function shortcuts 2wm
I'm guessing warning: ‘strncpy’ specified bound 256 equals destination size [-Wstringop-truncation] isn't of concern since no one commented on it... AntiX and Siduction repos in present times
So I was trying to get apt-listbugs and apt-listchanges as Ivanovnegro suggested for my bbq. Couldn't download packages because AntiX keys were expired, and siduction mirrors timed out. I found new antix keys: https://antixlinux.com/expkeysig-error-and-fix/ but, I feel dumb because I couldn't gpg ve...

Wow too many replies to quote. Thank you Bacon, I will gladly read the links and do the suggested changes soon. Re: Why BBQ?
As time went by our bbq spins got less and less bloated to a point of being OCD about it. While crunchbangers celebrated the "Sub-100" club (RAM usage below 100MB after boot), pidsley and I were duelling each other scratching the 30MB (he won). While the world around us was waiting for th...

Re: Fn+ function shortcuts 2wm
I know you run old or outdated versions of BBQ and this is old news but you need apt-listbugs and still you should read its output before hitting enter. ;) Thank you, getting now. I managed to update 5yr old debian stable to Stretch this week, by just reading every warning and making adjustments al...

Re: Fn+ function shortcuts 2wm
Yea, I figured out the XEV trick when trying to use Super_L. Super or Mod4 didn't work when put into the code ( I think C) of 2wm. The KeySym #s from XEV print a usable hex code for any key, or here, even combinations of keys. The fact it showed x86 volume commands after led me away from thinking it...

Re: Alsa keyboard volume shortcuts
Curious if this would work, or close to the right idea? but again, not really sure what I'm doing... I don't think this is the "Right" solution, but maybe an easy one? I got hexcode keysymbols from xev: Fn+3 = keysym 0x1008ff11 (XF86AudioLowerVolume) Fn+4 = keysym 01x1008f13 (XF86AudioRais...
