Re: Screenshots

yes, the user should decide. Anyone coming to bbq land I'm sure has their favorite browser. And even so, generally one will use mulitple browsers. You'll never make everyone happy.

May I suggest along wiht lynx, supplying DWB as the default. I think it fits in quite welll with bbq.

Re: Screenshots

Yes, I agree, beautious and very nice OOB look. Nice wallpaper too, very similar to what I"m using now actually. I have used and liked Midori in the past. Very lightweight and low resource usage. It's had its fair share of issues and instability, so glad to hear it has made progress lately.

Re: super n00b questions regarding i3 install

This happened to me before. You may need to install i3status sudo apt-get install i3status Once installed you should be able to just MOD+SHIFT+r and it should show. If not try a reboot. If you want to change it up, it is it /etc/i3status.conf Check out our wiki for a quick i3 guide for some i3 tweak...

Re: How-to: Invite conky to your threesome

great tutorial pidsley. To add to it in case your already using conky in a different session like openbox or whatever. Instead of changing the conky back and forth you can place your i3 conkyrc in your .i3 directory then point to it like this in the same section as described above. status_command co...

Re: SOLVED: Wireless Module unloaded?

the first suggestion did not work for me. So possibly as you eluded to maybe another module is using it and that module must also start at boot. I'm thinking that b/c when I used your other method by adding to the rc.local and creating a script in /usr/bin, that did work. so /usr/bin/brcmsmac #!/bin...

Re: SOLVED: Wireless Module unloaded?

nice, thanks. I found that file, it's empty atm, but was not sure what I would need to enter, ie, the full modprobe ..... or what. That's so simple. So question, was that there before and it got wiped. Did the file get replaced somehow? Thanks, I'm psyched, learned something new. Appreciate it mb!

Re: SOLVED: Wireless Module unloaded?

bump... so every time I boot up, I have to run those commands. modprobe -r brcmsmac modprobe brcmsmac to get wireless going. I checked systemd to see if something changed there and in modules-load. Didn't see anything to helpful. I guess I could just create a script to run at startup, but I'm sure t...

Re: Trollinger (LXDE) Release Notes

this looks really sweet mb. And as previously mentioned, where do you find the time. My wife will not be happy when I tell her I have to 'work late' again.

No, seriously, this may need to be dd'd and taken for a spin.

SOLVED: Wireless Module unloaded?

so I am not sure what happened, but when I booted up this morning I had no wireless. I did before I shutdown. My card is not even being picked up now. So I guess somehow the module was unloaded? Has anyone experienced this before? I did not have a chance to investigate any further. This is my plan o...
