Re: Android Web Browsers

Chrome, I have Google all up in my ass with it on everything with the option. Runs excellent on my phone, LG Nexus 4 on Kitkat.

Re: Kilts

I've done skirts for Halloween, it was quite nice I must admit. I'm by no means Celtic or nearly any origin of which would traditionally wear a Kilt that I know of. Down here in Louisiana the summer is beyond brutal with the heat and humidity. Think I'm going to go for it outside of just being a cos...

Kilts

Any of you guys wear a kilt regularly or would you? The wife and I are going to have some traditional Scottish costumes made up for Renaissance Fest next year, but I've gotten to thinking it would be cool to wear it more often throughout the year but not being of any origin which wore a kilt would t...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Started with Darkside. Now, now sure what to call it, but perhaps once I have it set up better and everything working, I'll have to pick a name and pass out samples and cigars. Edit: xinit isn't being called on boot, once into X I can execute .xinitrc and everything in it happens, like setting wallp...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Ok, so I was able to cut down a little on the boot time, going to make that an ongoing project. I've been trying to get a wallpaper to start up once logged in, have tried putting 'feh --bg-scale /home/bbq/images/wallpaper.png &' and 'eval $(cat ~/.fehbg) &' and 'nitrogen -- restore &' in...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

So you comment and change it to 0 for a definite no, might have to try that. The only things I've changed is bar action to show a conky and enable clock, and a few keybinds. Openbox and tint2 are gone, haven't removed all files yet though. Next goal is shorten up boot time, seems like it takes longe...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Reinstalled Perl things and got it working smooth. Also got Wicd to try out. Still learning better using Spectrwm and dmenu.

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Did some looking on that, still nothing. The first thing I did when this happened was refer back to that post and it lead me no where in my search.

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

So Ceni in a full screen only nearly locks up the processor, sticks at 100% for 10 seconds or so, then drops down to 95% and stays there. I tried Google searching but maybe not the right terms.

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

I see, hard to argue with some simple commands that have stood the test of time for longer than myself so far. Will continue with it, setup a couple more binds and start remembering names of programs for ones with no bind. Maybe by the end up today once back home from work I'll feel good enough abou...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Spectrwm is pretty nice, it wouldn't start because of an error in my key binds. Got that weeded out and figured out the correct way to put them in; little more tinkering with it's settings and then I'm on to learning to be a cli commando! Next stop fixing Ceni, tring to run it locks up the computer ...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Well phooey, home row of keys makes no mind to me. My keyboarding is unorthodox at best, like a more cognitive chicken pecking of the keyboard, still use both hand and multiple fingers but not in the way it's taught. Played with spectrwm some, was better than EvilWM until I broke it, stopped loading...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

I use evilwm. And yes, it has a conf file. Put .evilwmrc in your home folder and populate it. It has no frills, therefore I will give you my example: term urxvtc mask1 mod4 altmask shift fn terminus:pixelsize9 bg #000000 fc #B8B8B8 #dock conky But I want to change the keys used for re sizing and mo...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

The cli tools started from the openbox menu though; ceni once it cooperated with me was nice, along with ranger and midnight commander, hadn't gotten to the media or torrent ones yet. I actually can't wait to get back home and play some more, only downside is that my latest book read has caught the ...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

I'll give it a try with no menu, I was liking playing with the all the cli tools that came with the install but I don't know all their names to access them in dmenu. Maybe I'll make up a conky to list some until I can remember them. Perhaps I'm just trying to work with the familiar instead of learni...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

Liking EVILWM, setup a couple xbinds for some programs. Do I have to start a config for EvilWM on my own or is there one hiding somewhere, it webpage said I should have one in my home folder? I'm not really liking the default keys, kind of a weird choice of keys IMO. I also want a menu like openbox ...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

I like the changing titles, they have all been funny so far, good luck offending me >.<
The installer seems broken, on the screen after choosing device to install to where it asks to choose partitions there is nothing to pick from. Found it, ran gksudo live-installer and it let me proceed.

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.
