Re: bauchspeck not a fan of systemd
OK, with that in mind, I might attempt to go the other way, and install gnome from a systemd base.
See what happens :-)

Re: bauchspeck not a fan of systemd
oh. i didn't make the grub file persistent. I understood that to try it out one could alter the boot line 'just once' iirc that worked before. would making it stick, by doing as you suggested be better? as i seems not to work, i won't right now. as for the packages dpgk -l gives; ii systemd 44-11 am...

bauchspeck not a fan of systemd
how come gnome3 doesn't like systemd?
it runs only JWM (which is nice) or 'classic' gnome on fallback
i simply apt-got systemd.
changed the boot line to init=/bin/systemd.... gets to GDM then fallsback.
not a massive problem. kinda odd, no?

Re: Howto: Webcams in skype 2.2.0 beta.
just tried 4.1 again - it's (theoretically) ok for i386 architecture, the skype page recommends dpgk --add architecture 386 !!
i have just bungled the install - but i have the 4.0.0.0.8 version. which used to work, if you'd like to host it MB?
