so this happens when i install mate, and gnome3 spins, not sure about the others. i select the right settings in the live-installer... UK keyb and so on. installs fine, boot into it... ah US layout (@ and " are swapped)... so dpkg reports the layout is UK, works fine in a tty... so check the ma...
