Re: Malt and grain

I tend to want to experiment and not be too traditionalist. Japanese whiskies are a good example. I've only had a few, but they have been very nice. I'm no conosieur either; my tastes are more because of bad memories rather than something I have acquired through a 'true' sense of taste. I do like th...

Re: Malt and grain

Got a bottle of Balvenie for Christmas off my mum. Nearly all gone now, but it is a lovely soft tipple. I much prefer peat-free whiskies. The 3 that I have listed are peat-free. A strong peated whisky- Bells- is the first alcoholic drink I tasted. I stole a tiny bottle from the cupboard when I was a...

Re: Pleased to meat you, hope you like my game

Hey potatohead. Welcome to the barbie. Glad you're enjoying yourself around here and finding things tasty. I also 'work' in a university. Organizational creativity and learning is my bag. gnu/linux has some of the best marketing people around. Who could resist RMS eating stuff from his own toenails?...

Re: Impressive work

I had ***real fun*** trying to get some fn keys working the other day (after they strangely stopped). Found a workaround, and then they started working again. :/

xev, modmap are the way with that... (so I hear anyway....)

Re: Impressive work

Good day, missinglink. Good to see you at the bbq. You espouse good vibes. We be feeling that. Don't worry about grammar, etc. Just examine the above posts and you will get an idea of the leeway the barbeque has in terms of dialect, accent, syntax, or whatnot. I'm one of those annoying RTFM bafoons ...

Re: Escargot64 1.0 (LinuxBBQ Base) Release News

This is great. 1050 packages. Blazing quick. With systemd config'd better super fast boot up and halt. Super cool- never above 50c even watching video, etc. Tools and scripts built in are amazing. Very thoughtful userspace. Real good on resources- very stable and low power consumption. Never over 10...

Re: Boner (noX, amd64) Release News

No, I love this. The little bit of poo on boner was not a criticism; I realise this is a stupid ceni problem, and only my own ineptitude with tmux. To my vast unknowledge this seems very forward thinking (even if retro). Fiddling with my boner today as well as Escargot. It disabuses me of my desire ...

Re: Boner (noX) Release News

Downloading, will be on tomorrow too. Put some space aside. Ok, put it on. Had a little look around. Very nice, though of course I lack the ability to use it beyond novelty at the moment. I would love to use it more for everyday stuff, but would just be wanting to stick x on it straight away. My ign...
