Re: What can I do with a laser?

looked up /r9k/, found nothing shocking there (yet). seems like quite a boring place actually... maybe because i am not used to it. Ja, it actually is a droll place this time of year. Tomorrow, on the other hand, will be the beginning of the exodus of Uni students from the boards. /r9k/ is more of ...

Re: What can I do with a laser?

Point it at the moon PS: nice tip on /r9k/. "only original content", eh? I does seem like lasers are often used in astronomy, so perhaps I will just purchase the thing and see what I can do with it. At 2,000mW, it should be able to cut through plastic. dafuq is /r9k/ - is that on 4chan? i...

What can I do with a laser?

Serious question... Is there anything constructive I could do with this fabulous piece of optical engineering: http://www.wickedlasers.com/arctic A fellow anon on /r9k/ (don't go there; what has been seen cannot be unseen) posted a link, noting that he was planning on using this $300.00 weapon to fr...

We need some good 2bwm configs shared <hint>. I bet that would also look really good w/o the transparency.
Thanks! [whispering] I just used the default 2bwm setup that comes off of the Arch User Repos! [/whispering]

Back into ricing after a month long hiatus. Installed Arch alongside Vitamin C just for kicks and I am trying to adjust back into Pacman.

Re: AfterStep

I hate to (necro?)bump such an ugly WM, but alas I misrolled the dice on 4chan and ended up with AfterStep for the day. At first when I thought Amiga, https://i.imgur.com/NnoGhN1.gif but my first look disappointed me . Anywho, ignore my post and mark me down as trolling you with ugly WMs. I feel lik...

Re: Compiz

IMHO Deepin is the best distro to start-out with if you are a n00b coming from Mac. I tossed a couple Apple devotees (sporting goatees) down the bumpy road to neckbeard-dom by recommending Deepin as a dual-boot on their MacBook Retina thingamadoos. Proud to say that it sucked them into the GNU life ...

Hmm... it looks like I will have an irc-filled weekend! Perhaps I will break down and open a Jabber account.

good one man, I like that! what's the story behind your sig? You don't have to answer if you don't want. My sig? It is based on a notation by Jack Handey. I have worked around people in family crisis counseling and it is amazing to observe the stresses pulling apart the fundamental social structure...

Re: dwm

^ anything you print to the root-window title shows up in the dwm status bar. Adding conky is simple (see the end of this wiki article): http://linuxbbq.org/wiki/index.php?title=Dwm other status can be printed with "xsetroot -name" Perfect, thanks! That was exactly what I was looking for!

Correct! Now... um... is there a wiki article about that somewhere? (I have gotten too stuck in my plebian ways! I have no clue how to begin tweak it!) Is there a config file somewhere (perhaps under the rainbow?)

I decided to give DWM a quick spin and have actually quite enjoyed it. Keybinding take a bit getting used to, as they are radically differant to me than those of Awesome, i3, or Openbox.

Re: Openbox

I fell in love with tmux, but also pined for the carnal niceties of iceweasel and libreoffice. As such I found Openbox to be a quick setup and great for running a full screen tmux session on one desktop and having a web browser open on another. Therefore, brace yourselves for a PlebianWM scrot! BTW,...

Greetings from the Middle of Know-Where!

Hello fellow roasters! It was wisely recommended that I introduce myself (I don't know why I didn't think about it XD), so I hope I found the right place :D My journey to the one true OS: Although I tinkered with Red Hat way back in the time before time and ran a file sharing server off of OpenBSD d...
