Re: Linux News

^^ Someone commented a very good point on that article.
So why is a lot of wasted disk space, potentially wasted memory, and extra layers of software complexity superior to simply statically linking applications?

Re: Random Internet Thread

^^ That is interesting. Although I have a feeling it will be SLOW since it is a compiler written in C++. Since the code compiles to a bash file anyway, I would just write in bash or use perl if I want a C syntax feel.

The creator seems to have a good idea with good intentions though.

Re: [ignored] google-chrome buggered. [Bad memory]

^ That makes sense to me. Chrome is always reliable for using a lot of memory. But they develop for the newer computers these days which can handle it.

I have always wanted an IBM Thinkpad but I have never bought one because I cannot deal with the emotional pain of the "fn" and "ctrl" keys being switched D:

Re: Favorite browser

I have been using Midori these days, and I have to say that I am quite pleased with the results. The last time I used Midori there were so many crashes that I deemed the browser unworthy of using. I gave their newest release (0.5.9) a go last month and this browser is quite stable now, and of course...

Some person with a long neck beard builds a 68000-based prototype computer on a solderless breadboard. And what does this glorious person do next? He installs Linux.
