Solved: Kielbasa 64bit, can't log back in after screen lock

strange problem. when I lock the screen I can't get back in. It doesn't recognize my password. tried some searches, no dice though. Has this issue come up before? I thought I may have read it here or the other forum, but don't remember well enough to help me find it. Didn't notice until started usin...

Re: Screenshots

failed attempt with escargot and wireless, so blew it out and replaced with xfce4-rc1 64bit. Spent earlier today with jwm, which was definitely pretty cool. try to throw up a scrot at some point. Currently installed and configured i3, the one I always seem to come back to, however I have also tapped...

Re: Escargot64 1.0 (LinuxBBQ Base) Release News

hey machine, still having trouble. I have Broadcom BCM43225. In the README, it says to look at README_wl, but that does not seem to exist. I took a scrot, but I guess it didn't save. I can't run any of the deb files in firmware directory, says either I don't need or it's already there. When I go to ...

Re: Escargot64 1.0 (LinuxBBQ Base) Release News

oh cool, no problem. I only poked around for a few while feeding the kids and dogs this morning. Yeah, good with the deb files so that sounds simple enough.

Wish I was working from home today... :)

Re: Escargot64 1.0 (LinuxBBQ Base) Release News

machine, I have not installed yet, only ran live. Looks great! Question, it did not recognize my wireless card , broadcom, and when I ran ceni, still did not recognize. From reading the specs, I was surprised it did not pick it up. The other releases, like Oyster and Bauschpeck picked up my card. So...

Re: Oyster

Thank you, that is pretty much what I expected your answer to be. It's just so nice to have all my configs in place. But, cool., I'll wait til later this week then. Yes, I'm 64-bit.

Yeah, I went into xsession to make i3 my default session.

Oyster

I'm thinking of keeping Oyster, but purging out pretty much all the wm's except for spectrewm and i3. Do you foresee any problems with doing that? Or any other reason not to keep Oyster only use it to experiment with various wm's. Or should I blow away and install speckduck(?), and then addin whatev...

Re: [nobug] Paardenrookvlees eth0 auto-connect

in i3 a conflicting keybinding is if you change dmenu to MOD+p instead of the default MOD+d. I realized this b/c of the look of dmenu and b/c I change up the look of it with my own colors, etc. But it wouldn't take. When I reconfigured to use MOD+d, it worked. So maybe not only, but looks like it ta...

Re: [nobug] Paardenrookvlees eth0 auto-connect

with my new install of oyster had noticed and wondered about the same thing. I have not dug any deeper as I was too busy getting configs in order. I have chosen to use Ceni and disable NM, but have not done any rewrite of anything yet. Guess I'll get to it when I can. Other than that, yay!!! Curious...

Re: Screenshots

Oyester. There are so many to try, but still just spectrewm and i3. I really like the quick and easy tile to stack ability of i3 and that its keyboard, but also mourse driven.
