Or like we say in Spain: "Hasta el 40 de mayo no te quites el sayo". More or less it means "Until may 40th don't get you raincoat off".An old UK saying, pertaining to weather:
"Ne'er cast a doubt until May is out"

Re: If not Debian...
Void and BSD are my alternatives too. About no experience with Slackware either.
I made kinda adipositas (a bit stripped down) clones both on Void and OpenBSD. The NOX Void system running a framebuffer is darn excellent. Feels smoother and more glitch free than the original adipo or the BSD attempt.

Re: RE:ROADMAP:2016 Releases Discussion
I like and applaud the idea of no X Sid spins only. The BBQ releases will be flawless this way. If anyone wants to struggle with the Xserver bugs it's up to him (me). IMHO, the X and Jessie are way better play mates than the X and Sid. Or at least that's my experience.

^ That's how my .xinitrc looks like too. Anyway these WM switching methods are useful and good to know when tweaking a new WM. Switching back and forth to check changes and differences.
Thanks for all the info, guys.

@ dkeg:
What's wew in your .xinitrc? And xwait? Is it a script? I don't see it described in the xinit or startx man pages. Does it belong to any other xserver bit? Never heard of those two before.
