Re: Can't Run Firefox 17.0.1

@KT: if firefox decides to change the name of their executable to 'firefox17', then adjustments need to be made. the fact that this isn't the case in Statler is that Statler isn't based on Sid so the firefox-version is probably older and probably doesn't have this name-change (yet). as for running y...

Re: Succumbing to the peer pressure....

@KT: next time, maybe begin by asking first instead of placing the blame. if we'd do the same here, the answer to every question you have would simply be 'STFU and RTFM' and done. instead, we do our best to be friendly. remember that you get what you give.

@Hinto: about that wireless... could you do us a big favor and test the new Kielbasa RC2, and let us know if your wireless works out of the box? http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?p=600#p600

Re: Bug #669278 - libqt4-dbus

i am wondering: if you want texmaker and such, you could consider using LinuxBBQ Latex, right? or did you just wanted to test it out for a bit? plus, leaves me thinking: how does Latex deal with this bug? or is it newer than when bacon built Latex? questions. thinking. confusing. :) (thanks for repo...

This makes so much sense, didn't know you did this, because i never use a GUI filemanager, but this is very good indeed.

Re: Saltimbocca 486 Live systemd issues

no problem man. it is good we have the same issue, because that means there is only 1 issue instead of 2 :)
at any rate, not a big issue either, mainly a bit confusing. and afaik only on verbose booting, not quiet. so a simple workaround is present at least.

Re: Saltimbocca 486 Live systemd issues

^ i agree, i don't think there is anything serious going on here either. especially since, as i said in the other thread, it doesn't stop me from booting. it just, for some reasons, stops the login prompt from displaying, which gets fixed after a press of 'enter'.

pidsley, check this: http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?p=381#p381

try hitting 'ENTER' after you get that message and see if you can still login. i haven't figured out the reason for the message yet, Google doesn't seem to be very clear about it...

ok i'll do some more experiments. i got 5 machines left, plus my laptop, so i can test them all without much effort (well, except for having to switch some cables around of course :)

will report back once i did more testing! this is a strange one. big questionmark for me too, fwiw :D
