Re: urxvt tabbedex not working
tabbedex is in the correct location. It came along with the rest of the perls while installing rxvt-unicode-256color, so it must be coming from the repos. Why wanting to use it? well, that bad habit of trying everything, also finding what's those "advanced" features it has to offer compare...

Re: Dealing with images in Ranger
Maybe it was in past spins. I've never saw it in any .bashrc in the spins I've tried. Thanks for rescuing it for the masses.

Re: Shutdown freezing
Really? smxi is praised everywhere! But as I've said, it never worked in any of my machines. Not even a single time. Thanks for pointing this out, baconator. I thought I was the only one in the world not like in it. LOL. I plan to get a new HD anyway, but will try to recover this one once again. Low...

urxvt tabbedex not working
tabbed works just fine, but switching to tabbedex doesn't work at all. The default keysyms do nothing and trying to add new ones doesn't work either. AFAIK it only takes replacing: URxvt.perl-ext-common: clipboard, default, matcher, tabbed for URxvt.perl-ext-common: clipboard, default, matcher, tabbedex A...

Re: Shutdown freezing
I'm on LTS. No way to install a newer one. Maybe it's all related with my HD issues. I think so... I guess before driving crazy I should buy a new HD and replace this sucker as a start. It never performed right after this. And weird things and behaviors are appearing more and more. Sigh... BTW, trie...

Re: Shutdown freezing
Thanks, bacon. I almost gave up with this. Having problems with any 4.2 and 4.3 kernels. Freezing at boot at "waiting for /dev to be fully populated" or something like that. I'm stuck with 4.1.6. Maybe I'm having an HD problem. My gear: System: Host: grill Kernel: 4.1.6-towo.1-siduction-am...

Re: Dealing with images in Ranger
Found this about imv:
Haven't tried it yet whatsoever. About to compile and check. It doesn't work with ranger the same way other viewers do. imv -- "$@" but removing the -- seems to work. I'm not sure how it would make a difference but I'm no expert.

CDs are on the verge of being obsolete. How many new computers have an optical drive reader? I haven't burned one in years. I also wonder if adding the user to the floppy cdrom user groups are actually needed for anything these days.

Re: Dealing with images in Ranger
Hey, thanks for pointing out lel, Mr. sinistra. Another nice name. Do you know if gif support means animated gifs or just plain gif? I'll keep an eye on it.
EDIT: sxvi does animated gifs nicely. Wish I knew another way with feh or meh (via imagemagick?) and forget about sxvi.

Dealing with images in Ranger
If you don't run the X, or your beard is untidy like a spiritual leader's beard you surely won't care about any of this. But if your beard is boring and regular like mine and use ranger just keep going. if you select an image file in ranger (on its defaults) and hit r, you'll get this: 0 | sxiv -- &...

Re: Virtual grilling - Cook a BBQ into VirtualBox
Well, it seems i'm finally understanding the BBQ philosophy somewhat. It took me a whole year! LOL. Thanks, guys. I used to install everything on metal or at least making live fash dives like most around here do. But what virtualization gives is running all those other systems without leaving your m...
