Sometimes the trees don't let you see the forest. I skipped that one. Thanks, pidsley.pidsley wrote:This looks like a how-to: http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?f ... ebm#p36074

webm howtos?
Please, bear with this noob. How you guys make those nice webm files the BBQ way... if there's any. Can you point me into the right direction? The forum search tool is not helping a lot, unless you want to see them all, which is nice anyway.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: CWM: Smoothie (586) Release Notes
I'd say build cwm on top of viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2122 Sure, You're right. It's not difficult to mimic Smoothie's defaults on top of Lapis... damnit, I can never write that word correctly, just curious, why the need for 64 bit? Would a pae kernel suffice? I guess so for most systems. But the 64 b...

Re: Anyone using runit?
Will do. I'm setting up an init test machine based on smoothie. Will have (at least) sysvinit, busybox, openrc and runit onboard to test and compare.

Re: CWM: Smoothie (586) Release Notes
I guess no, but I have to ask just in case... Any Smoothie's 64 bit version or respin planned? Smoothie has become my favorite BBQ flavor so far. It's the constant victim of my experiments, has become my test bench and the sidstem base reference to always have on hand. The only reason why my main sy...

Re: Anyone using runit?
Thanks, dkeg. This is why at first instance I'm leaning more towards runit. I guess I need to do some homework and see what are the pros and cons (or the point) of using openrc along with other init system.

If I'm not wrong, Doesn't it run on top of sysvinit or systemd instead of fully replacing them?dkeg wrote:running openrc currently.

Anyone using runit?
I want to give runit a try in Debian replacing sysvinit. I've recently checked it in Void Linux and the experience is very good, but all the Debian related documentation I've found is pretty outdated. Any (somewhat recent) documentation you know about? Or someone having some experience with it willi...

How to avoid the autologin loop
I think in English you call it respawn or something. Autologin is fine, but whenever I close an Xsession (quit a wm) in bbq spins, it automagically relogs-in again instead of remaining in the tty. Of course, I can disable it in .bash_profile, but it also stops the autologin altogether. Any tips on h...
