Thanks all for the compliments. Yes,Pidsley aterm would be nice lite alternative. Aterm could be configured for pseudo-transparency if desired.

Been a linux user since Crunchbang was Ubuntu based. Last several years I just do minimal Debian netinstalls nox environments. For X I prefer a tiler. i3 is my favorite.
