Firefox 29 has been released, with the new Chrome-ish interface. Functions well, and even seems faster than the previous version, at least on the Macs. True, it seems faster than before. The new layout forced me to add this snippet to .vimperatorrc to hide the navigation bar. map <silent> <F2> :js ...

When in Openbox, IIRC, I did this in the config file:

Code: Select all

Re: Random Internet Thread

^^ really interesting reading.
I sort of avoided reading all the init systems war, mainly because I'm no expert in this regard. Also, I went back to sysvinit on Elektra just because of the lower RAM usage, not for a pure technical reason per se. Anyway, thanks for the link.

THE WHITE STORM: warming up while waiting for Far East Film Festival. Sort of Benny Chan's BULLET IN THE HEAD. Lately Hong Kong cinema is finding again some of its pure uniqueness. This film and the recent Dante Lam efforts are really good signs that HK cinema is still alive. And my love for it too.

RIO: watched it just because someone told me "you love exotica, watch Rio!". It turns out to be a pretty standard animation flick, with the usual story lines and characters. A hint of Brazil doesn't make it exotica. TRUE LIES: my favorite Schwarzenegger film right after LAST ACTION HERO. M...
