I like that Mr. MeSeeks sticker. I also like your son's drawing (rainbow?) on the wall, it adds character.

^ here's another one from yesterday: A customer asked us to convert his company's several decades worth of lotus 123 files to "modern format". While he nor his company has no qualms about using GPL stuff (meaning ssconvert to the rescue), he argues that the thing looks "highly un-ente...

Re: Have you tried turning it off and on again?

So a customer hosted a quickbooks server on our infrastructure (umm MS windows server) having "persistent infuriating issue" as they say, in which their database server frequently restarted for no reason. Contacted their IT dept, turns out it was their mistake to enable remote registry, an...

Y'all might like this

https://github.com/ReturnInfinity/BareMetal-OS

Not a distro of course, but it has a rudimentary coreutils, build-system, its own libc, and its own hadoop-like FS. Haven't tried it myself.

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

While the first one was acceptable, the second one i like (thanks to John Goodman), the third installment of Cloverfield (Cloverfield Paradox http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2548396/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 ) is a complete and utter garbage. Was checking out what's all the fuss this movie gets on netflix, turns...

^^^ Altered Carbon, watched first 2 episodes, so far pretty good, Interesting setting, rather light on explanation (i actually like this kind of approach, but it doesn't mesh very well with its main character's lack of knowledge to current age). I don't like the main character at all. Thanks for the...

Just added a Koss Porta Pro headphone to my EDC replacing my sennheiser rs170, after 5 years of watching my coworker carry the former and that shit never breaks.
