Re: noo_b_nomnoms- scrots
that wasn't such a disappointing read. except of course: tint2 with a volume icon? come on man. you could easily make your own volume-up/volume-down/mute scripts (tied to custom keybinds, of course) that directly change the values of amixer master, then pipe those values to bar. damn noob. :D

@anticapitalista: Singing Detective is fantastic. Need to rewatch, really. The soundtrack has been one of my favourites since I first heard it, and set me on the road to hot jazz, so am forever grateful :)

Re: BOOK! (Hardcopy edition)
I always considered the Silmarillion more as a sort of "study book", as in "history book". It has so much information in it about all the shit that happens. If you're into the whole Tolkien universe, it can add a wonderful layer of depth to your experience of it.

it's tricky that we talk so much about computer-related stuff, and that is exactly the stuff that is becoming more and more political. indeed, let's talk around it whenever possible, and not waste too many words on it. it is all bullshit anyway, there's way more fun stuff to talk about :)

^^ Spongebob was great though :D
saw Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's "Sisters halfway on the plane to, and the other half on the plane out of, Korea. enjoyed it, it was a fun watch and it is good to see comedy that is from a slightly different (female) point of view.
