@ivanovnegro, congratulations to your purchase and welcome back to the T club. :)
So my question to Wux, does a QWERTZ UK keyboard layout exist at all?
Not to my knowledge, no.
Did they just swap the keys caps over ?

^ That's great. Having never studied computers, apart from 20 years ago, I feel you.
But teaching the thing is great, but often not a substitue for day to day real life experience.

Re: /dev/null

My work will have to do more with the practical organizing of day to day stuff, problem solving in the heat of the moment, and the further development of how we organize the work and logistics of the goods. Which I actually like to work with and that will also mean more brain work and less muscle w...

Holy crap! I did not see this one coming. The other teamleader ( I am the other) in my department said he had enough of it and just want to do the regular stuff. Probably for the best, but not of sure what will come out of this. Will keep you updated. Not really sure enough of your work, does that ...

Re: Distros of interest

^ it's worth a shot - but you do need to know that you can change all the keybindings! I really found my workflow of actual 8 hours working on a machine favourable to using i3. It does take some work and I did try regolith - but I really (to get back on topic) fucking [i[hated[/i] everything they di...

Re: /dev/null

I hope the meeting went well.
I've been having some sort of waking up dread, I thought it was various forms etc which need to be filled in and boring life stuff. Those all seem to be mostly done now and it's not hugely better.

Re: Distros of interest

Yeah that does it - have to remember to halve the current browser window, then tear off the tab, then tile that one, then un-tile it to plonk it back onto the halved browser then Super up to go to fullscreen.
so it's not impossible, just more steps than i3wm ("so go back to i3 then!"

Re: Distros of interest

Yeah I've been daily working on Ubuntu 21.04 since the new laptop arrived and the nice things are nice but the annoying things are still annoying - like It's such a hassle to do a side by side window comparison - unless I am just assuming there isn't a nice shortcut. For example - I often need to co...

Disable Caps lock in Ubuntu 21.04

So the normal methods of:

Code: Select all

setxkbmap -option ctrl:nocaps
didn't do it for me, so have to install gnome tweak.
ubnut.png
Then get down to 'caps lock behavior'
Don't click 'disabled' like an idiot - because that just makes no difference, need to click on the more verbose version:

The food varies, it's very French.. cider cooked pork etc - it is certainly 3 or so courses. Starter of course, then "mystery meat" as the kids call it, then It's Camembert or yogurt for afters though :)
Nice crispy bread is unlimited though!
