(fixed) Xorg all over the place (read before posting!)

I have installed Smoothie to hd of my laptop. I logged in as root and changed root password. Then, I ran 'setup' and created new user. I rebooted computer (how do I just log out?) and then logged in as user. Everything is great! I can reboot, shutdown etc and desktop is great! But.. Once I open a te...

Lol'd! Very nice. I'm still playing with Ms. Smoothie at the moment. I am running out of computers for all these distros that are awesome as hell. Does everyone just use the live disk, or install and use until MB whips up a new creation? Just curious.

Re: Can Cream be installed to HD with all wm's intact?

Thanks for your help , I do appreciate. I currently do not have it installed at this time. Just wondering if I could.

When I did try to install it before, I must have done something wrong during the install because it didn't look/act like Cream.

Thanks, again.

Can Cream be installed to HD with all wm's intact?

Can Cream be installed to HD with all wm's intact? I know Cream is meant to be run in live mode, but I would also like to install Cream. I did try to install Cream but after a startx I was in a bleak Openbox. The reason I want to install Cream is so that I can play with all the wm's, tmux framebuffe...

we might not make it onto Distrowatch, but Distrowatch just made it onto our Wiki!
(in case they want it removed, they can donate EUR 333 a year, none of which will go to FOSS projects)

Re: Is this a joke?

And you can guess what the next two release names will be: LinuxBBQ "Moose Knuckle" - Sir twodogs, what WM do you like to have featured? LinuxBBQ "Distrobiach" - KDE4 of course, with all resource-eating goodness! :) Have a good stay and happy roasting! Thank you all for the warm...

Is this a joke?

Sorry if this is a long story, but.. I have been using Linux for a little while now. I used to use Ubuntu and finally settled on Linux Mint as I liked it better and it fixed a lot of 'stuff' that I didn't like in Ubuntu. I used to be a serious 'distro hopper' but that was only because I like to expe...
