Re: Paardenrookvlees Release News

Thank you guys for testing and the nice words. The MATE edition will stay as it is now, the changes for the final release in January 2013 are mostly "optical": - completing the icon set - rewriting the relevant parts of the cookbook - a little upgrade of the snapshot tool - a better integr...

Re: Paardenrookvless Install

I'm positive that dhcpd is not installed by default :) There are two ways to get rid of DHCPDISCOVER: 1) let Ceni manage the connections -> sudo ceni -> remove configuration -> reconfigure the adapter -> Static IP -> fill in all fields -> finished 2) let NM manage the connection -> remove the Wired ...

Re: Paardenrookvless Install

You can simply download the original ACYL installer and try with that, it is the same (actually I wanted to keep the tarball in downloads but didn't talk with the guy who wrote it) http://pobtott.deviantart.com/art/Any-Color-You-Like-175624910 Or of course install a 'real" icon theme from the r...

Re: Paardenrookvlees eth0 auto-connect

Well of course I can remove the interfaces completely, and the user can then add his network adapters at every boot from stick. Don't know what's worse :D Scenario 1: somebody downloads the ISO, puts it on a stick, boots up in 30 seconds, has no network. Scenario 2: somebody downloads the ISO, puts ...

Re: Paardenrookvlees eth0 auto-connect

Actually it is on purpose, after users called it a 'bug' when it didn't autoconnect - and it is not a leftover of previous installations. One decision had to be made: auto-connect or not, search for DHCP on eth0 or not. Originally, this should only happen in a live session. You might run Ceni and st...

Re: Paardenrookvless Install

Move the /usr/share/icons/ACYL folder (!) into your user's icons: ~/.icons/

Edit the file ~/.icons/ACYL/AnyColorYouLike

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
cd ~/.icons/ACYL/scalable/scripts/
exec ~/.icons/ACYL/scalable/scripts/script_gui.py $@

Re: Paardenrookvless Install

Thank you for your feedback. The issue name (Escargot) and installer name (Oyster) are the releases they derive from. Paardenrookvlees was built on an Escargot base, and the Installer was introduced with the Oyster release. The ACYL link doesn't work from the menu, because it can't call one configur...

VastOne, the 32-bits are still on the server, but I am preparing the 64-bit version right now. You find Kielbasa and Kielbasa Ekstra (with non-free packages) as 32-bit here: http://linuxbbq.org/releases/kielbasa/ They work perfectly as live system and also if installed, though the versions >0.5 come...
