Best of All Possible Worlds, stackers + tiling urxvt
I do things like I do things without regard for how anyone else feels about it. For the past little while, I've been using cwm as my wm, because it's really a great little stacking WM. I like stackers. Everything that I want tiling in, is cli-based (emacs -nw, because emacs with X is bloat...and I c...

Plus, after doing the FB thing the first time, I got a LOT better a...

Re: All hail the BACONATOR ! :P
Well, currently I'm wrapped up on building Linux from source...which I guess is like raising the cattle that I will then make a knife out of some rock, slaughter those bovine, and grill them. I don't think you can Roast Your Own any harder than that. On the other hand, I have full intentions of blam...

Re: All hail the BACONATOR ! :P
Bringing this one back up because there's a few questions that I have regarding this entire business: LinuxBBQ == Taking Debian Prebuilts and Making them Your own, and creating an image off of them? I was under the impression at first that you guys just churned out a lot of releases, which you do, b...

Re: Running roaster on Archbang
Oh, roaster is written in Python? Cool. Uhh....you need gobject to import gobject, that's what it's telling you. I don't know if that helps, but you can't import that which isn't there. Edit: Also, Archbang is a prepackaged Arch, so they'll call any calls that the program uses for "Python"...

Re: Hello to everyone
Once, just for the hell of it, I put a base server install on a machine and configured and "attempted" to pimp it out across ssh from another computer using nothing but nano. It looked like the 1970's on LSD, but I enjoyed the process.

Re: Hello to everyone
@DebianJoe. DJ, I'll buy all night if you ever want to teach me a little command-line ninja flip, chinese star to the forehead, poisonous dart to the neck, nunchuck upside the head fu wisdom my way. Or we could just get drunk and try to catch flies with chopsticks. Sure thing. Purge xorg & xser...

I figure that being newish here, I should post what BS I've fallen in love with since putting it together a couple of days ago. Pretty soon (when I recover from multiple kernel recompiles due to my own stupidity and get bored) I'll have to try out how you guys make a BBQ dish or whatever you're call...

Re: I Can't Stop Laughin
Thanks for reminding me about Maddox. It's been a long time since I first stumbled across the rants on the Best Page in the Universe, and I had honestly forgotten about them. Part of the pain of reading them is that he hits far too close to home for me to feel happy. The "You Don't Fucking Love...

DJ's Intro to the BBQ
Hello all! Pidsley twisted my arm and told me that I had to come hang out with you guys. I think I already recognize 1/2 of the members here, and I will admit that I consider it some of the finest company in the GNU/Linux world. For those whom I've yet to meet, I'm an electronic engineer. I tend to ...
