Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

England reached their first quarter finals since the year i was born. Was watching yesterday's match in a pub with some English expats, the whole place erupted when they scored the final penalty shot. Had more fun watching the Belgium-Japan match, but the atmosphere yesterday was something else.

^ yeah that Mr Fantastic one. I actually forgot about The Road, it was a grim one, but very nice performance from him and his kid (as far as i can remember) nonetheless.

^ His role in CW, History of Violence are all good ones. Like that better than Eastern Promises of course. Recent movie i like that featured him as the lead role is the one with him as this survivalist father of many sons and daughters, all of them prodigious. Forgot the title, too lazy to google it...

Re: What are you actually running for daily/primary usage?

Um I don't use emacs as general editor these days, not anymore. I'm still using it for a lot of stuff like ORG / email / slack / irc and magit. Been moving to VSCode (yes it's MS, electron, heavy on ram, leaky, blahblah) since last 2 months as general editor since it just works.

^ Put Messi and 5 other players up front, fuck the midfields. Lost 3-0 by superior Croatian midfielders.

They had it coming.

All we have is hoping that 2026 World Cup would include more than 48 teams, so that minnows like us can compete there.

^ added! I didn't like Westworld one whit since the first season, but i decided to give a second chance last night, after co-workers and wife said last episode was very good even for the pessimist like me. I was dismissive at the start because the idea of "robot uprising" theme sounds stup...

Re: /dev/null

^ abandoned github long ago except at work because it's too expensive for me, and no other reason.

I ran own gitlab instance a year ago, shit is heavy for my meager vpses. Would rather use gitlab on gitlab itself (since private repo is free, again no other reason).
