Re: Wilderness!
That's pretty much my setup +- a few items. I like having a few ways to fire (because nothing ever works unless I have a backup plan). Paraffin dipped matched + lighter added. Also add some fishing hooks and a trot-line. I am also a huge fan of 550 paracord, as it's good for damn near everything, an...

Re: Wilderness!
So, anyone have any thoughts on keeping a BOB (bug out bag, "SHTF pack)?
If so, what would you consider worthwhile to carry and what is your target weight for the pack? This may be splitting hairs a bit, but I'm curious as to what you would consider essential preparation.

Re: Alternative Rock
Oh my....Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage , Veruca Salt , and such was a major part of my life. I went to see so many of these bands live. To be totally honest, while most people were all about Seattle in the early 90's, I preferred the music coming out of Chicago. Let's add a few more to the list: Urge O...

/me marks date in calender "Rho posts non-OB scrot!" Looking nice. ;) Edit: On the subject of transparency, I'm not sure that I have an opinion. I tried using it with my tilers to help with making better notice of which window had focus, but really found that I prefer a super-fat border wi...

Ok, so here's pretty much the only other nix setup I use (and only with minor tweaking when I get bored): This is a BBQtiny install I've kept up with some minor patching here and there. 2015-03-04-021418_1024x768_scrot.png 2015-03-04-021409_1024x768_scrot.png wm - hcwm colors - zenburn wall - zentre...

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography
Cecil B. Demented How I missed this gem for so long from John Waters is beyond me. I personally found it a refreshing concept, as the concept of militant film-making and destroying all that is modern 'a-list' Hollywood really appeals to me. The part where the imaginary film troop in the movie threa...

Re: LinuxBBQ Wiki
I slapped a note in there about it, as there was already a note...and nested notes are cool. Links to the BBQ github .cwmrc files added, since I figure it's easier to lead the horse to water than to explain hydration.
Feel free to redo it if my method is not up to bbqwiki standards.

@wux: Feral pigs can be taken at any time on private land, and during any other season (deer, turkey, bear) using the method that is currently in season (so, if it's archery season for deer, then a bow for boar is okay.)
@MB: ty sir. I wouldn't know what to do with something fancy.

Thanks for the kind words. Really, any screenshots I post will look similar except changes in color or screen-size. I'm boring.

While more "just because it CAN be done" than seriously enjoyable music, Coltrane's 'Blue Train' solo note for note...on a fucking recorder. -_-

There's your problem right there, as I presume it's a newer machine with UEFI? I have very little dealings with UEFI machines. So currently you have no actual OS on your laptop? If you have an optical device I would get ubuntu on CD! or DVD, on it, just to give you an OS, then figure out all that U...
