i did try fbterm, what font are you using there? it can load ttfs but look awful until about 22pnt.

upd'ed live system, installed gpm, trakpad moves cursor on tty no probs. so not a laptop error (fn f7 is kill trackpad. has happened before) sorry to quote myself. Fn+F7 is the key on the Acer, and i have had it happen before. slipping keys between ttys. and i tried it the tty gpm moves the cursor ...

yes the startup text (dox) does indicate bbqstart,
i was just lazy and typed bbq. just confusing (you know me)

ok rubbed the CLIt a bit, real nice, but minor typos /leftovers;' 'bbq' on it's own, is outdated. 'bbq' text says - 'cli-installer', when it's 'bbqinstaller' (very nice menu BTW, typing 'live-installer' reboots immediately (obviously not gonna work in fb) 'start' doesn't do anything, 'bbqstart' invo...

Yeah arch is OK. It teaches one about a few things - sink or swim stylee - I'm glad it formed me in Wi-Fi technical skills.
