yeah, if i get around to fixing the SD card i will put 'stock' raspbian on it. then go from there.

i was interested in upgrading seems the release is 'released' but it's not in debian -yet. http://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html only one week in! although i'm confoosed. seems it according to the website. seems it's not an automatic update. you need to 'run' it, and then - autostart it. type xfce4-power-manager into a terminal - then close your lid. should work. (you may, or may not have a panel icon, can't remember) once you kill the terminal - it will go away, so you needs to autostart it. not sure how to autostart in trollinger. loo...
