Re: Kielbasa Release News

^ man, Google for that .deb stuff: http://www.webupd8.org/2010/01/how-to-create-deb-package-ubuntu-debian.html ;) doesn't seem too hard to do. as for surprises: from my experience, bacon is not only the Grillmeister but also the Surprisemeister. he'll cook you up something you never expected, be sur...

Re: speckdrum wifi bummer {Solved}

^ tried this with my modem out of curiosity, but i don't have that option, sadly. i suppose it depends on the type of modem, whether it allows you to change stuff like that.

Re: Oyster Release News

i just checked linuxbbq.org > releases, and don't see where it is linked wrong. for example, the release-page just links to the oyster iso: http://linuxbbq.org/release_linuxbbq-0.5-oyster64.php

could you be more specific as to which link you mean mr neily?

Re: speckdrum wifi bummer

wux, i had the same thing i think on first run. please try this:

Code: Select all

sudo rfkill list
if it says 'softblocked: yes', do

Code: Select all

sudo rfkill unblock all
now do the ceni routine again and see if it does work this time. it did for me.

Re: Paardenrookvlees eth0 auto-connect

that's what i thought, but i figured 'better safe than sorry' so reported it nonetheless. thanks for explaining, and don't mind that you don't call it a bug - i'd rather have no bugs than bugs :)

[nobug] Paardenrookvlees eth0 auto-connect

i noticed when booting Paardenrookvlees that it took a long time checking for an eth0 connection when there wasn't any (i use wireless only). eventually it just continued, but after 30 seconds of trying and trying again. is this on purpose? or an old eth0 setting in /etc/network/interfaces still lef...

hi sunfizz :) - no, this place won't replace Linuxnoob. but it will serve as the main supportforums for the LinuxBBQ releases. Linuxnoob will just be a general hangout, probably.

Re: Paardenrookvlees Release News

posting this from Paardenrookvlees MATE 64bit live session! - so wifi works well :) audio works too, listening to Radiotray while typing this. the thing looks smooth. i can see the amount of time spent on this release clearly. the icons, the applications, the themes, everything is set up nicely and ...
