Re: Gettin The Sweet Sauce 64

Well, once again I have to say "thank you, DebianJoe". Going through the Emacs Lips manual laltely (eintr, so far) and really enjoying it. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Also, doing the exercises using scratch buffer like you suggest is really a neat trick. Forgot the us...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

If I may give you a suggestion, keep trying with dmenu. When on #!, I never used it cause the openbox menu was there and always stuck with it. Using i3 and dwm I'm now in love with it. Ask yourself: do I really need a menu listing all kinds of stuff I'm not sure I'll ever use? Wouldn't it be quicker...

Re: hex coded config.h for st (suckless simple-term)

I have to say I'm quite happy with st. Nothing wrong with it, a gret alternative to urxvt. (Though, tbh, I haven't noticed differences between the two of them.) Here's my config.h: /* See LICENSE file for copyright and license details. */ /* * appearance * * font: see http://freedesktop.org/software...

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

I got 15" (max resolution: 1280x800) screen on the laptop I always use. I got LinuxBBQ Elektra on it and both i3 and dwm as WMs. Though I can do tiling within emacs and using tmux, sometimes I use the tiling these WMs offer and I like it.

Tried live, everything's fine on my Dell Inspiron. With or without tdesk, wm2 looks really cool.

Oh no, I missed this one. And now I'm in love and ready to go with Meat Curtain. Argh! Hard to decide which one to use.

Re: Hi from Crunchbang and now Mint.

To me the beauty of BBQ releases lies exactly in that "half ass usability". I've been learning more things about Linux-land with BBQ than with every other distro I hopped to in the past. Try it for yourself and enjoy the ride.
