Re: Old rig, let's play
<troll>How about the Bunsenlabs?</troll> Or starting from one of the last two BBQ spins on jessie and building it up grabbing bits from it and leaving loads of junk aside. Much better option IMHO. Also this is a nice alternative (leaving a few stuff away too). https://github.com/brontosaurusrex/pos...

Re: initramfs-tools breaks boot.
Is this warning from today? Maybe it depends on the repos used and how synched they are. I've got initramfs-tools 0.120 in my sidstems early last sunday morning (GMT+1). Last time I distro-upgraded. I'm using the debian balancer thing, so the repos I'm using vary from time to time.

Re: CWM: Egeszsegedre! (586) Development Notes
BTW, switched to openrc minutes ago and I'm getting some weird messages at boot. Will stop the scroll at the next boot and will check what's going on. All the switches I've made in Sid spins had no issues. But here it shows an apparently long list. Haven't tried switching inits in jessie until now.

Re: CWM: Egeszsegedre! (586) Development Notes
With the tweaks it goes somewhat smoother, but it takes a while buffering (blurry playback) untill finally getting 720p. I hardly ever use it this way. I use the "play with" plugin just to run videos in mpv instead of the browser shit, but it's not working in jessie, at least here and... m...

Re: CWM: Egeszsegedre! (586) Development Notes
Apt-get updated correctly and installed iceweasel. Tried Video playback in fullscreen using html on youtube and it was stuttery No idea what iceweasel version ships with jessie, but sure it needs some about:config tweaks for smooth playback. AFAIK, default settings never do it. Will test and report...

Running live on virtualbox. All good. Will install it in a minute.
BTW, what a discovering gnuit. Thaks for including it. I saw it in kocksonya and thought it was some odd part of evilwm (had zero previous experience with it).

procfs in fstab?
According to the Debian wiki: It is not necessary to list /proc and /sys in the fstab unless some special options are needed. The boot system will always mount them. https://wiki.debian.org/fstab Most distros don't have proc into their default fstabs, but the BBQ and a few other Sid based distros ke...

@kondor & bacon: I remember Rocks! too, but discovered it when already too outdated. In fact I discovered the BBQ due to Rocks! when looking for light weight Audio dedecated distros. Great it will revisited at some point this year. Looking forward for it.

Amen to that.Quite a lot of rubbish for something that can be scripted in bash and executed automatically.
