Re: Thor killed my computer

I initially misread your title as Tor (the anonymity service) and went WTF?! As someone who lives in the tropics and experiences many a thunderstorm, I do share your grief. Nowadays, even though I now live in a building that has adequate insulation built in, I still invest in additional surge protec...

Re: musics, bitches

@gutterslob: i love how the guitarist mouths his own solo! that is funny and nice to see :) You need to watch Guthrie Govan play. Here's he mouths so much he grows an extra tooth at the end. Re: musics, bitches

@wux I googled "Gary Barlow". Seems he was a former member of a popular British boyband. That would explain a lot in itself, I suppose. These kinds of artists usually get decisions made for them by their management or recording companies. Fangirls will lick them up regardless of quality. A...

Re: musics, bitches

^ In that case, would you call Jeff Beck's Nadia a cover? It's based on an age-old Indian/Hindu hymn, after all, which has be 'covered' endlessly over the centuries. Personally, I feel that Hendrix's 'cover' (I prefer to call em interpretations) of Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower brings a lot m...

Re: What are you actually running for daily/primary usage?

^ You run also spectrwm on Mac. :D Not anymore, sadly. The latest snapshot and git version install fine on Mountain Lion (provided I have the relevant deps installed prior), but I'd rather fire up Parallels VM and start a Linux or OpenBSD session. I actually keep one VM session running full time (u...

Re: What are you actually running for daily/primary usage?

Home desktop runs OpenBSD-Current, cos I'm a bit of a clean freak. Employs SpectrWM for window management most of the time, though I have CWM and Fluxbox installed as well. OS X on the work comp (Mac Pro), since I need Corel Painter, Illustrator, Lightroom and PhaseOne Camera Raw for work. Also has ...

Re: Unia's DragonflyWM

other than "I wanna name a new WM." Hey, isn't that reason enough? One day, I'm gonna create an exact replica of cwm (minus the irrelevant right-click menu) and name it My Little Satanzebra WM, and dedicate to all those pink pony people. On topic; Looks like a nice WM, though I can barely...

Re: lavabit closes

Yeah, sucks. Kind of miffed since they didn't even email me prior to the closure. That way, I could have at least saved a couple of receipts and addresses. Either way, not a critical loss, but an inconvenient one nonetheless. I'll wait it out for a couple of days in case they come back online. @bone...
