Re: HOWTO: Convert a BBQ system to btrfs

See the top post for some additional info, due to problems I had. The new info is at the bottom.

This was the first time I have converted from ext4 to btrfs. I usually make the btrfs filesystem prior to installing a distro, and install to the btrfs. The conversion caused a few glitches.

Re: Funk

Some references: Funk - Sly & The Family Stone, Herbie Hancock. Soul - Sam and Dave, Aretha Franklin. Not all that similar, IMHO, but that is the music I grew up with.

Re: Funk

Oh, I really like true funk music. I got a pretty good CD, not too long ago, Let's see...

Here it is: Dumpstafunk - Dirty Wood. The band includes two progeny of the Neville family of New Orleans. Good stuff.

[Solved] Problems after fresh install - live-boot

After a fresh install of Hot Dog, I had problems every time I tried to install anything. Here is a section of one log: Setting up linux-image-3.16-2-amd64 (3.16.3-2) ... /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools: update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.16-2-amd64 cp: cannot stat ‘/lib/live/boot...

HOWTO: Convert a BBQ system to btrfs

Yesterday, I installed BBQ Hot Dog. I have an eye toward moving away from Arch Linux and making BBQ my primary system. Therefore, I want it to be on btrfs. While it was not complicated, I thought others might be interested (and a couple of guys on the irc channel expressed such an interest). I start...

We watched a 2012 Denzel Washington movie last night, Flight. The subject matter was a serious downer, but the movie was very good.

Re: What distros are you using?

I completely tore up my PC trying to install PC-BSD, a few days ago. Right now, the only distro I have is Arch / Openbox. I hope to add a BBQ spin, before long.

Re: Movies, Flicks, Films, Videos, cinematography

^ Dude, this won't be your first, nor second time watching it. I 'got' a Hi-def copy and briefly checked for the quality - ended up watching the whole film for the n+1th time. 8) Please tell me you've watched the other Coen bros films, although, for my taste, ones made after The Big Lebowski, are a...

I am way behind the curve on this one. We finally watched The Big Lebowski. It is so good, we watched it again the second night in a row.
